CIR-SEIU negotiations summary

UC’s systemwide relationship with CIR-SEIU begins in 2025

The University looks forward to developing a productive and collaborative relationship with the modified systemwide unit for Medical Residents, which is represented by the Committee of Interns and Residents (CIR-SEIU).

While this is a new systemwide unit, each location has its own local collective bargaining agreement with CIR, and all those agreements expire on June 30, 2025.

UC has 9 local contract agreements for 6,288 House Staff or Medical Residents employees. Local units include M2, M3, M4, M5, M6, M9, MF, and MO.
